Before you start, please note that this service is not available for new SIM cards, as this service requires you to use the SIM card for a few months before you can apply for a loan.
Method or how to borrow airtime or credit on MTN Ghana
1. Dial *506#
2. Select the option available to you, starting from 1 Ghana Cedi up to your limit.
If you do not want the available quantity that you have been given, select Request Advance Options to select lower quantities.
You can also request Advance data if you are browsing and suddenly your package is over and you really need to go back and continue browsing, MTN has made it possible for you to request a data loan.
3.After selecting the amount you wish to borrow, you will be prompted with the charges attached to the amount you are borrowing, press 1 to confirm.

Vodafone makes it easy to borrow airtime by making a call and they'll tell you "your credit is low, press 1 to accept SOS credit." I will not recommend borrowing using this method as you cannot choose what you want.

And choose from the available options, also note that with some SIM cards, dialing * 505 # will automatically give you an airtime loan for which you are eligible and you will not be able to choose the one you prefer.

2. Select the amount you want to borrow
3. Press 1 to confirm your transaction.
Method or how to borrow credit or airtime in Glo Ghana
1. Dial * 5321#
2. Select the amount you want to lend, remember that if your SIM card is not older than 3 months, it will not be eligible.
3. Press 1 to confirm your transaction.
Now that telcos have made it possible to borrow airtime and pay later, now you don't have to worry about your credit running out at midnight in the middle of a conversation or chat.
Although you can borrow airtime or a package at any time, keep in mind that each telecommunications company has a requirement to be eligible for this service.
